She graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1996 and obtained her post-graduate degrees for Ophthalmology in 2004 (FAMS and FRCSEd (Ophth)). She completed a 2-year fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the SNEC and spent a stint with Prof Ian Constable and Prof Ian MacAllister at the Lions Eye Institute, Western Australia. She has been active in teaching undergraduate medical students with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and is a clinical lecturer. Her research interests are in retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, retinal complications of myopia, gene therapy for retinal disorders. Dr Daniel Chua (Consultant, Refractive Surgery Department @Singapore National Eye Centre) Dr Daniel Chua is an Consultant with the Refractive Surgery and Cataract & Comprehensive Ophthalmology Departments at Singapore National Eye Centre. He obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2005 before completing a Masters in Clinical Investigation (NUS) in 2011. During his training in the SingHealth Ophthalmology Residency Program, Dr Chua was awarded the SingHealth Best Resident (Ophthalmology) in 2012. He obtained his Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology in 2014 and his Ophthalmology Specialist accreditation from Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2016. Being actively involved in education, Dr Chua is part of the Clinical Faculty Scheme under NUS as a Clinical Lecturer and frequently teaches medical students. He was awarded the SingHealth Inspiring Resident Educator Award in 2016. Dr Chua’s current clinical practice includes general, cataract and comprehensive ophthalmology and he is subspecializing in the field of laser refractive surgery. Dr Andrew Tsai (Consultant, Surgical Retina Department @Singapore National Eye Centre) Dr Andrew Tsai is a Consultant in the Surgical Retina Department at the Singapore National Eye Centre and Clinical Assistant Professor with the SingHealth Duke-NUS Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Academic Clinical Programme. Dr Tsai graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor or Surgery (MBBS) degree in 2008. He completed his Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology in 2014 and became Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2015. He gained accreditation as a specialist in Ophthalmology in 2016 and became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in the same year. He subsequently completed advanced subspecialty training in Medical and Surgical Retina in 2019. Dr Tsai believes in an evidence-based and patient-centric approach to clinical care. His current clinical practice includes vitreoretinal surgery, medical retina, general cataract and comprehensive ophthalmology. Dr Tan Licia (Consultant, Oculoplastic Department @Singapore National Eye Centre) Dr Tan Licia is a Consultant with the Oculoplastic and Cataract & Comprehensive Ophthalmology Department at the Singapore National Eye Centre. Dr Tan attended medical school at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at National University of Singapore as a Public Commission Service Merit scholar, and subsequently completed her residency training in ophthalmology at Singapore National Eye Centre. She obtained her Masters in Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 2016, Ophthalmology Specialist accreditation in 2018, and was conferred Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmology in the same year. She is involved in research and the publication of several research papers in respected peer review international medical journals such as Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, which was presented at local and international conferences. Dr Rukshini Puvanendran (Head & Senior Consultant, Family Medicine Service and Senior Consultant, Menopause Unit @KK Women's and Children's Hospital) Dr Rukshini Puvanendran is Head, Senior Consultant and Assistant Professor at KK Women and Children’s Hospital, Family Medicine Service and Menopause Unit. Her clinical interests are in Midlife Women’s Health including Menopause and Osteoporosis. She also has an interest in Chronic Disease Management and Weight Optimization, especially in women keen to conceive and women with polycystic ovarian syndrome. In addition to clinical work, she is also passionate about education of residents and medical student and is core faculty in DukeNUS medical school and clinician faculty for Singhealth Family Medicine Residency. She serves as an examiner for doctors sitting for Masters of Medicine and well as Graduate Diploma examinations. She has been the recipient of many awards including Singapore Health Quality Service Awards, Service from the Heart Awards, Singhealth Long Service Award and Faculty Appreciation Awards. She also served on several committees, both at Hospital and National Level. Dr Farah Safdar Hussain (Associate Consultant, Family Medicine Service @KK Women's and Children's Hospital) Dr Farah is a trained Family Physician and Associate Consultant working both in primary care (in the polyclinics) and in KKH. She has an interest in education and spends time teaching medical undergraduates and postgraduates. She is a clinical tutor at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of medicine, a clinical instructor at DUKE NUS, and one of the core faculty members in the Family Medicine Residency Programme. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, yoga and chilling with her cat. Dr Bernard Chua (Associate Consultant, Department of Breast and Gynaecology, Division of Medical Oncology @National Cancer Centre Singapore) Dr Bernard Chua is an Associate Consultant from the Division of Medical Oncology, National Cancer Centre Singapore. He studied Medicine at Monash University, Melbourne Australia and later completed his Internal Medicine training and Medical Oncology subspecialty training under the Singhealth Residency Programme. He subspecializes in Breast Cancer and has an interest in Supportive Care, Palliative Care and Adolescent and Young Adults Oncology (AYAO). Dr Natalie Koh (Consultant, Department of Cardiology @National Heart Centre Singapore) Dr Natalie Koh is a Consultant from Department of Cardiology at National Heart Centre Singapore.
